i3D was designed and developed by Enrico Gobbetti at the Center for Advanced Studies, Research, and Development in Sardinia (CRS4), Cagliari, Italy, with help from Jean-Francis Balaguer. The work is now continued by Jean-Francis Balaguer at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. The Virtual Sardinia processing tools have been developed by Enrico Gobbetti and Andrea Leone at CRS4.
